Most major media companies are conglomerates that own a range of smaller companies (called subsidiaries). It links Black Widow because Black Widow which is a marvel movie is owned by Disney. 

3) Analyse the film trailer for Black Widow. What aspects of the trailer tell you this is a big-budget blockbuster movie?

Black Widow is a big budget movie because it has camera shots like crane shot and Black Widow also has epic cars chases and explosions. Black Widow also has CGI and SFX which a lot big blockbuster movies have especially marvel films.

5) What was the production budget for Black Widow and how much did it make at the box office?

Black Widow's production budget was $200m and It made $379m at the box office.

6) Would you consider Black Widow a successful Hollywood blockbuster? Why?

Yes because even though it only made £379m at the box office you have to take it to reconsider that the film was released during a pandemic which suggests that not that many people could go to watch films during that. It is very good that even gained profit because of the pandemic going on at that time.

BFFC(British Board of Film Classification)

8) What age rating was Black Widow given? Why?

Black Widow got the age rating 12A because most of the marvel fans that watched the films were the age between 10 and 18. And also that people with aged 12 or over can watch the film but also the people aged below 12 but there must be a adult present.

9) Read this feature on Marvel using a fan's tweet to help market the film. Why is audience interaction such an important aspect of modern film marketing? 

Because marvel fans know that the movie has to be very good that a fan's tweet is on the billboard and that the fans go experience excitement of the movie themselves. This also a very good way of marvel fans to watch the film and especially at the time of the pandemic which got the audience very excited.  

10) What other interesting details can you pick out of the article about Black Widow marketing? For example, you may want to make a note of some statistics, ratings or how they used TikTok influencers to help promote the film.

Marvel used the audiences tweets to promote there film by putting it on billboards but they also used tiktok influencers to promote there film by putting trailers and the movie cast talking on tv shows on social media and because of this the film gained a lot of attraction. Because Black Widow was a 12A movie it meant that even people under 12 could also watch the movie only if there is adult present.
