statement of intent after feedback

The title of my magazine is called 'Expose’. The main point of the story consists of the the donor who is a British actor who helps a working-class girl improve her life since she is suffering from her illness and also she is the heroine (Propp) of the story. The point of the magazine is to help people improve their lifestyle and influence the people of todays society. The magazine is taking during the heroines illness, so the magazine is featuring gossips about the current situation maybe in order to help the girl or to attract awareness, because of that the magazine is now very popular in the film industry.

However the actor who is the donor( Propp) also had his own past that no one has ever known about and that might be the root of why he helped the girl. The actor also writes a book called 'Light After Shadow' which talks about how to help people improve their life and it also have a hint of what happened to the actors past; how it relates to him helping the working-class girl, this might adds a sense of tension. The character of the girl reinforces stereotypes of females as she needs a male figure to save her. Furthermore, the character of the donor also reinforces stereotypes as he is male; has a main and powerful role in the story. However, since the girl is fighting he illness to get well soon this might create a opportunity for girls in society showing that they won't back down.

In the last pages of the book there will be a new equilibrium (Todorov) showing the effects of the help that the actor gave to the girl; also convey that there is bright future for those are in the same shoes as the girl who wants to improve her life. If there are people truly like her then perhaps this could be portrayed as a positive impact or an inspiration for other working-class people and that they can seek out for help or use this inspiration to improve their own life.

The name of the magazine’s name ‘Expose’ is quite unique as it explores the deep understanding of the doner who is helping the girl. It shows who is British actor truly is and not actor going for fame; that’s why this magazine is called ‘Exposed’. In addition of the magazine the Mise-en-scene that has been used is presented as simple yet a bit dark colour like blue as I wanted it to somehow relate to the girl (heroine) that needs help or to represent the connotations of the dark blue colour as she is in a kind of a deep loneliness in a way because of her illness
